Do you have insomnia?

Long Covid causes moderate to severe sleep disturbances in up to 40 percent of people with afflicted by the disease. This includes unrefreshing sleep, restless sleep and insomnia.

This coupled with the fatigue that accompanies long Covid results in a “wired but tired” feeling for many patients when they try to sleep. In the short term, insomnia can cause decreased attention, irritability and fatigue. Over time, lack of sleep can lead to health issues like diabetes, hypertension and weight gain.

We have established a clinic created by Chief Medical Officer Melanie Hoppers, M.D., that is dedicated exclusively to this illness. Contact us if you would like to be seen.
